We make the games that get cancelled.

Cancelled Studios is an independent game studio. No publisher committee, no sensitivity pass, no cinematic trailer for a game that doesn't exist. We ship playable builds.

The city: Over 500 destructible things, mansion walls included

You asked. Loudly.

Every clip we post gets the same replies: a wish list of which big ego gets pied, ratioed, or bounced next. Read fast.

The Humiliation Kit

No weapons. Just consequences. Nobody gets hurt in Hollyweird except reputations, and every tool leaves a mark the phonies have to wear in their next post.

1FistsA classic for a reason.
2Pool noodleFoam justice.
3Inflatable flamingoBonk, but tropical.
4Squirt gunHold to drench. Ruins blowouts.
5Cream pieThrow it. Obviously.
6CameraFlash, post, watch the ratio.
7ShaverA fresh stripe they didn't book.
8Tattoo gunPHONY. FLOP. MID. Permanent.
9Poop bagDelivered with love.
0ScissorsSnip the ego, and the outfit.

An open city: Palm-lined avenues, strip malls, Bling Hills mansions and the HOLLYWEIRD sign on the hill. Grab a car and go.
Catch them in the act: Get the camera up at the right moment and the internet gets a new loser.
They curse, we bleep: The celebs swear like it's an awards-show afterparty. The game bleeps every word.
First or third person: Press V. Egos look even bigger up close.

The Golden Rules

A brass plaque on a concrete soundstage wall reading GOLDEN RULES

The studio motto. Four lines, taped above every desk.

01
Try to avoid AI when we can.
02
Try to offend everyone.
03
Try to have fun.
04
Listen to players.

What gets cancelled here

We kept the name because it's accurate. These are the things that don't make it past our door.

Publisher committees
Nobody here needs a sign-off to tell the joke. The people building the game decide what's in it.
Sensitivity passes
Parody is supposed to sting. We aim it at the powerful and the phony, not at the player.
Cinematic vaporware
If we show you a game, you can play it or sign up to play it. No rendered trailer for something that isn't built.
Fake fame
Hollyweird roasts it, so we're backing the real thing. When the game goes on sale, a share of profits will fund amateur and student film studios.

Fund it. Build it with us.

Independent means self-funded so far. Hollyweird is real and in beta, and the fastest way to finish it is more money and more hands. If you get the joke, we want to hear from you.

We need funding

Angel check, grant, revenue share or patronage. One condition: no creative censorship. Tell us who you are and what you have in mind, and we'll reply with where Hollyweird stands and what the money would build.
